1. Extension purpose
SABIL Exam Guard is a browser-security companion for authorized SABIL/AMSO examinations. Its functions are limited to verifying the examination browser environment, creating a stable local installation identifier, checking Incognito and fullscreen/window status, and reporting enabled browser extensions when required for examination-integrity checks.

4. How data is used
The data listed above is used only to provide the extension's disclosed examination-security purpose, including:
- verifying that the SABIL Exam Guard extension is installed and active;
- providing stable installation/device binding for an exam session;
- verifying Incognito and fullscreen requirements;
- checking enabled browser extensions for examination-integrity purposes;
- diagnosing technical problems that prevent the examination-security feature from working.
5. Data flow and sharing
The extension does not independently send exam-security data to advertising networks, analytics brokers, or unrelated third parties. The content script shares its status only with the currently loaded authorized examination page using same-origin browser messaging.
The authorized examination website may use the reported status as part of the examination-security workflow and may transmit necessary examination-security events to the examination operator's server over HTTPS. Such information is available only to the examination operator and authorized examination administrators/proctors when required to operate, secure, audit, or investigate an examination session.
No user data is shared with advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
6. Storage and retention
The extension stores only the random installation identifier in chrome.storage.local. It remains on the device until the user removes the extension, clears the extension's local storage, or the identifier is otherwise reset.
Other extension status values are generated as needed and are not stored by the extension as a long-term local history. If the authorized examination website stores examination-security events on its server, those records are retained only as necessary for examination operation, audit, incident review, and applicable institutional requirements.
7. Security
Authorized examination websites are accessed using HTTPS. The extension is packaged as a Manifest V3 Chrome extension and does not execute remotely hosted JavaScript. The extension limits host access to the authorized examination domains declared in its manifest.
8. User control
Users can remove SABIL Exam Guard at any time through Chrome's extension settings. Removing the extension removes its local extension storage from normal Chrome use. Users may contact the examination operator regarding questions, access, correction, or deletion requests for examination-security records held by the examination service.
9. Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received through SABIL Exam Guard adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data accessed by the extension is used only to provide or improve its disclosed examination-security functionality. It is not used for personalized advertising, sold to third parties, or used to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes.
10. Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices change, this policy and the Chrome Web Store privacy disclosures will be updated before the new practices are introduced.
